good bugs

we were approached by yakult uk-(a couple of years ago now..)-to develop a character for a marketing campaign.
the idea was the pink guys..were your good bugs..who fight the bad bugs..etc..and with a little help of captain yakult..can keep you in good digestive health..yippee
it was fun while it lasted -we did a 30 sec flash ad for them-as well as emailable idents etc

two stills to tease you!-
i have just finished my time at escape studios london-on the maya digital animation 6 week course.
i have got to be honest and say,,well..i am hooked!-
two weeks of gentle intro to all aspects of maya,
one week full metal jacket -navy seal boot camp -mode with our tutor Michael Ingrassia.
one week to model original characters and enviroments-
one week to rig-skin-and paint weights..
one week to light-animate 10 secs-render out and cut together..

when i get the sfx added to the animation i will post it on my site

an early klondike pete and pardner model sheet for golden nuggets cereal.
from 1998 to 2003 i animated and directed the commercials at purdums-london
from 1998 to 2005 i illustrated the packs and b-of-pack stories etc
i got stiffed from the pack company recently..they wanted to do them on the cheap..
ah well..that's advertising...

the elephant..

the elephant is a graceful bird..
it flits from bough to bough..
it builds its nest in the banyan tree..
and whistles like a cow..

it's raining..
mary and her buddies are bored..
they decide to fly away..but the planes are all grounded due to the rain..
she casts a spell..and they have their holiday in the airport instead.
