build me a robot
last year we were asked by harpercollins to illustrate a book for pre-schoolers
it was about two scientists who build a very polite robot(!)
we had great fun with this one-
on each page a new snack jumps out of his labcoat pocket
donut-cookie-twinkie-muffin etc
the inking was done with karismacolour pencils-to soften up the line a bit

I think that the colours the play between warm and cool works great and trhe designs are awsome, u definately get a sense of warmth from the robot not just from the colour but the character himself.

the robot's chest plate says 'on' but his light bulb is off in the picture on the left . you'd think they would have spotted that wouldn't you ?
