oh d-d-dear dear...
hello all-i have just seen the new golden nuggets packs-with new character illustrations-NOT DONE BY ME!-i must add..!!
i told you that the graphics company i had produced artwork for for 8 years stiffed me recently...and decided to have a go at it themselves...well.....if you see a pack-judge for yourself..i am biased and a little miffed too-so my views will not be written here..all i will say is it is a real disappointment.....
so to cheer myself up-i will post my some of my favorite nuggets b-of-packs-this was done in 2000-in 'sunnier' times.
ho hum....as my gran used to say..which about sums up how i feel tonight..

Whoever did it should have the ends of their fingers belted with some kind of ice pick.
the thing ha really pees me off is during a project-you have to deal with changes-corrections-niggles-umms and aahs all along the line-but you stick with it -give 200% and still do something good-
but then you see what they all approve when they are doing it themselves-and it makes me go sheeeeshhhhh--(sfx of towel getting thrown in...)
i only wish i could have had your 'client letter'a few months ago

Here in Tassie there are two commercial stations.
I have worked at both and and fully prepared to say there is NO loyalty whatsoever.
Was Bushnell scrounging for change? I bet he was. Just beat him with a stick, sir, and he soon scampers back into the shadows!

Being a long time fan and eater of Golden Nuggets I was disgusted to see the new artwork ! So much so I've hit the All-Bran !! Great pic this you've posted though,cheered me up somewhat !!

i too was gobsmacked to see the new artwork-total rubbish .it looks like they have coloured up one of the dodgy visuals that they used to give me..
i used to think of pete as a sugar filled garden gnome..elderly but sprightly/wired-it all looks wrong wrong wrong!!-
the pack co were having to pay me again and again for all the after final artwork changes requested by their muppet clients..they wouldnt tell the client no..so they decided to 'have a go themselves-it'll be cheaper if we pay someone who's sitting around here-etc-you-you'll do...'
i was once quizzed by the agency as to why pete had tiny barney rubblesque dots for eyes..i told them his eyes were smal because he spends most of his time underground mining..like a mole..they went..aaahhh-ok i'll pass that information on etc...crazy fools!!
